Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present <br />With a quorum present, special meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Daniel Guerrero 11:02 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013 in the Council Chambers of <br />the City of San Marcos City Hall, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />3. 11:00AM Executive Session in accordance with 4 551.074 of the Texas Government <br />Code; Personnel Matters - to review and deliberate City Manager semi - finalists. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Scott and a second by Council Member <br />Thomaides, the City Council voted five (5) for, two (2) absent from the dais, Council Member <br />Prather and Council Member Porterfield and none (0) opposed, to enter closed session at <br />approximately 11:03 p.m. The motion carried. <br />4. Consider adoption or direction to Staff on matters discussed in Executive Session. <br />Council reconvened at approximately 1:45 p.m. and provided direction to SGR in Executive <br />Session regarding the Semi - Finalists. SGR will then provide the Council with semi - finalist <br />briefing books and online interviews on November 8, 2013. Council will have a finalist briefing <br />on November 18, 2013 at noon. The City Council will then conduct interviews of the finalists on <br />December 9, 2013 and December 10, 2013. <br />
