PAGE 8B - THE DAILY RECORD, San Marcos, TX., Sunday, October 6, 2013 <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />FOR PROPOSED TRANSPORTATION REINVESTMENT ZONE, NUMBER ONE <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at 7:00 p.m. on October 15, 2013, a Public Hearing will be held by the San Marcos City Council (the "City") in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 630 E. Hopkins, San <br />Marcos, TX 78666 to receive comments from interested individuals regarding the designation of "Transportation ' <br />Reinvestment Zone Number One, City of San Marcos" (the "Zone"), the benefits of the Zone to the City <br />and to property in the Zone. Creation of the Zone will have no direct impact on ad valorem tax rates on property located within the Zone. <br />The proposed Zone consists of an area located entirely within the' City and encompassing approximately 11 square miles. The Zone is intended to support improvements to, and the extension and expansion of FM <br />110. The proposed boundaries of the Zone were developed by generally using a one-mile buffer off the centerline (a two-mile width) of the proposed alignment of FM 110, with various adjustments to that width in dif- <br />ferent parts of the Zone. The proposed boundaries of the Zone are described as follows: <br />Part I — Approximately 0.39 acre <br />Being all of the County of Hays called 0.39 acre, Part of Lot 2, being located along the existing southwest right-of-way line of Centerpoint Road. <br />PART 2 - Approximately 5,514 acres (8.6 square miles) <br />BEGINNING at the west comer of the Raul Antonio Rodriguez called Lot 1, Center Point Court Subdivision, being on the existing northeast right-of-way line ofCenterpoint Road;
