E. Younger <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Betty Jane Kissler <br />Council Members Karl W. Brown <br />Bill Coddington <br />Gerald G. Farr <br />* Fred Guerra <br />William C. Nicola <br /> <br />City Manager A. C. Gonzalez <br />City Secretary Janis K. Womack <br />City Attorney Lamar W. Hankins <br />Assistant City Manager Robert T. Herrera <br /> <br />Also Present: Jennifer Coddington, Kelly Kilber, Bill Thomas, Shirley <br />Wickersham, Jeff Minch, Ed Shoemake, Patsy Greiner and others. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced a public hearing on an Annexation, the caption <br />which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO SAID CITY 198.80 ACRES OF <br />LAND, MORE OR LESS, ADJOINING THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, OUT OF THE THOMAS H. FORSITH, <br />BENJAMIN J. WHITE, LYDIA GLASGOW, JOHN MAXAMILLON AND <br />PATRICK MCGREAL SURVEYS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, SAID LAND <br />BEING LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURSIDICTION OF <br />SAID CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUNDARIES; <br />APPROVING A SERVICE PLAN FOR SAID TRACT: EXTENDING THE <br />BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID TRACT; <br />GRANTING TO THE INHABITANTS OF SAID TRACT ALL THE RIGHTS <br />AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY; BINDING <br />SAID INHABITANTS BY. ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES, RULES <br />AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY: AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak in favor or in opposition to the annexation. No one did, <br />so Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing on an <br />Annexation, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO SAID CITY 14.14 ACRES OF <br />LAND, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE T. H. W. FORSYTH SURVEY, <br />BEING A PORTION OF THAT 23.92 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED TO <br />WILLIAM A. WYATT BY L. SUMNER TOWNSEND, ET UX, BY DEED <br />DATED MAY 17,1922, AND RECORDED IN VOLUME 83, PAGE 309, <br />HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, SAID LAND BEING LOCATED WITHIN <br />THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF SAID CITY AND LYING <br />ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUNDARIES; APPROVING A SERVICE <br />PLAN FOR SAID TRACT; EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF <br />SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID TRACT: GRANTING TO THE <br />INHABITANTS OF SAID TRACT ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES <br />OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY: BINDING SAID INHABITANTS <br />BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS <br />OF SAID CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak in favor or in opposition to the annexation.
