<br />25 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Special Meeting June 27,1986 Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak in favor or in opposition to the Zoning request. Jeffrey <br />Minch advised they were applying for a PUD development of a project <br />in the vicinity of Butler Manufacturing, bordered by the Blanco <br />River, IH35, Mo-Pac Railroad and by the property line on the South <br />side containing approximately 150 acres. No one else wished to <br />speak in favor or in opposition to the zoning request, so Mayor <br />Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Coddington moved for adoption <br />of the Ordinance and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously (Mr. Farr was present to vote on this item). <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br />of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) <br />OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, FOR 88.51 ACRES, MORE <br />OR LESS, IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI SURVEY NO.2, HAYS <br />COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM INDUSTRIAL AND PERMANENT OP~N SPACE <br />AND/OR FLOODPLAIN TO INDUSTRIAL, COMMERCIAL, OFFICE AND <br />PROFESSIONAL/FLOATING OFFICE AND PROFESSIONAL, HIGH DEN- <br />SITY RESIDENTIAL AND PERMANENT OPEN SPACE AND/OR FLOOD- <br />PLAIN, SAID 88.51 ACRE TRACT BEING LOCATED ON THE WEST <br />SIDE OF IH-35 NORTH ADJA~ENT TO BUTLER MANUFACTURING <br />COMPANY: AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak in favor or in opposition to the land use amendment. Jeffrey <br />Minch was present to answer any questions of the Council. No one else <br />wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the land use amendment, <br />so Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. ~1r. Coddington moved for <br />adoption of the Resolution and Mayor Younger seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on <br />emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />~~RCOS, TEXAS, N1ENDING APPENDIX C, SUBDIVISIONS OF <br />THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING TO ARTICLE <br />V, SECTION F, SUBSECTION 16 TO PROVIDE FOR ADMINISTRATIVE <br />APPROVAL OF PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT DESIGN <br />CHANGES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mr. Coddington moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Ms. <br />Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration authorization to bid for the <br />Communications Control Center Console for the Police Department. Ms. <br />Kissler moved for authorization to bid for the console and Mr. Farr se- <br />conded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Galchutt advised the <br />Council they needed recording equipment also and that he was in hopes <br />we could purchase the City of Austin's recording equipment, which is <br />four years old, if Austin bids for new equipment. Lupe Picassio ad- <br />vised the Council Austin was getting new equipment in mid-August and <br />that he would be in communication with the Legal Department regarding <br />us buying Austin's used equipment for the preparation of a contract. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger advised the next item on the Agenda, the discussion of <br />LCRA contracts would not be needed at this time and was therefore passed <br />to the next item on the Agenda. <br />
