<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH
<br /> REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS,
<br /> STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED .JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY
<br /> CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT 6, BLOCK 3 OF THE CARROLL AND
<br /> HOFHEINZ ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN NARCOS, HAYS
<br /> COUNTY, TEXAS, RECORDED IN VOLUME 50, PAGE 361 OF THE
<br /> HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS; A/K/A 1533 BELVIN STREET
<br /> FRm'j "DP-2" (DUPLEX DISTRICT) TO "R-1" (SINGLE-FAt1I LY
<br /> DWELLING DISTRICT); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> I...JHEREAS, on August 5, 1986, the Zoning Commission of the City of
<br /> San Marcos held a publ ic hearing regarding a request to change the
<br /> zoning from "DP-2" ( Du P 1 e >: District) to "R-l" (Single-Family
<br /> D('Jel1 ¡ng District) of Lot 6, 81oel< 3 of the Carrol] and Hofheinz
<br /> Addition, San Marcos, Hays County, Texas; and,
<br /> I...JHEREAS, subsequent to sa.i d publ ic hearing on said date, said
<br /> Commission did, on August 5, 1986, consider said request and
<br /> voted to approve the same and ha.s recommended that such request be
<br /> appro'H?d by the Ci ty Council of said Ci ty¡ and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said City Council held a publ ic hearing on the 22 day
<br /> of September , 1986, regarding such request; and,
<br /> ~,JHEREAS; an requirements of Append i x A, General Zoning
<br /> Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the Ci ty (Jf San ¡"'Ia-rcos
<br /> pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br /> t<.IHEREAS, said Ci ty Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest elf the pubì Îc
<br /> health, morais, welfare and safety; now; therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN t'iARCOS, TEXAS:
<br /> SECTI ON 1. That the following described tract of real prc'per ty
<br /> located in San Marcos, Hays County, Texa.s t-\lh i eh is presently zoned
<br /> "DP-2" (Duplex District) henceforth 5.ha 11 be rezoned "R-i"
<br /> (Single-Family Dt,iel1ing District):
<br /> LOT 6, BLOCK 3 OF THE CARROLL AND HOFHE INZ ADDITION TO THE
<br /> CITY OF SAN "'¡ARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, RECORDED IN ',')OLUME
<br /> 50, PAGE 361 , OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS,
<br /> SECTI ON 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days
<br /> from and after its passage and after it has been sub,j ect to
<br /> reconsideration by the Council at its next regu hI' meeting fol]ol..Ÿ;ng
<br /> its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote to reconsider
<br /> it. If r'econsidered on October 13, 1986it shall be in effect ten
<br /> da;.'.;s from and after its passage on that date if a.pprm¡ed, It sha 11
<br /> not go into effect if denied. If not reconsidered or if reconsidered
<br /> and approved it sh ad 1 be publ ished in a newspaper of general
<br /> circuLation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San
<br /> th.r"cos, Texas,
<br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this the 22 day of September, 1989,
