RESOLUTION 2013 -17OR <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE AWARD OF AN ANNUAL <br />CONTRACT TO HD SUPPLY WATERWORKS FOR THE PURCHASE <br />OF MISCELLANEOUS WATER AND WASTEWATER REPAIR PARTS <br />(IFB 213 -044) IN THE ESTIMATED ANNUAL CONTRACT AMOUNT OF <br />$85,348.09; AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THIS <br />CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. On December 20, 2012 the City administratively awarded an annual contract to <br />HD Supply Waterworks for the purchase of Miscellaneous Water and Wastewater Repair Parts <br />(the "Contract ") because it appeared that the annual contract price was under $50,000.00. <br />2. The original bid (IFB -213 -044) provided the City with the option to extend the <br />Contract for three (3) additional one -year terms. <br />3. The Contract has not yet reached the first extension period and is already <br />exceeding the purchasing threshold of $50,000.00 and therefore, requires City Council approval. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The Contract with HD Supply Waterworks for the purchase of <br />Miscellaneous Water and Wastewater Repair Parts (IFB 213 -044) in the estimated annual <br />amount of $85,348.09 is approved. <br />PART 2. The Purchasing Manager, Cheryl Pantermuehl, is authorized to execute <br />appropriate documents related to this Contract on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br />after its passage. <br />ADOPTED this the 19th day of November, 2013. <br />1 <br />
