RESOLUTION 2013 -171R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS.) TEXAS APPROVING THE AWARD OF AN ANNUAL CONTRACT TO HD SUPPLY WATERWORKS FOR THE PURCHASE OF MISCELLANEOUS WATER AND WASTEWATER REPAIR PARTS (IFB 212 -016) IN THE ESTIMATED ANNUAL CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $52,561.68; AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THIS CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. On January 19, 2012 the City administratively awarded an annual contract to HD Supply Waterworks for the purchase of Miscellaneous Water and Wastewater Repair Parts (the "Contract ") because it appeared that the annual contract price was under $50,000.00. 2. The original bid (IFB- 212 -016) provided the City with the option to extend the Contract for three (3) additional one -year terms. 3. The Contract is in its first extension period as authorized by the Contract. 4. The extension has caused the total contract amount to exceed the authorized purchasing threshold of $50,000.00 and the Contract, therefore, requires City Council approval. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. The Contract with HD Supply Waterworks for the purchase of Miscellaneous Water and Wastewater Repair Parts (IFB 212 -016) in the estimated annual amount of $52,561.68 is approved. PART 2. The Purchasing Manager, Cheryl Pantermuehl, is authorized to execute appropriate documents related to this Contract on behalf of the City. PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage. ADOPTED this the 19th day of November, 2013.
