<br />testify. The City shall be responsible for assuring the <br />attendance of any City employee called as a witness in any <br />grievance proceeding. Securing the attendance of non-City <br />employee witnesses is the responsibility of the grieving <br />employee. The City Manager, only upon good cause shown, may <br />extend any of the time limits prescribed herein. Lack of <br />diligence by a grieving employee or his attorney shall not be <br />considered good cause. <br /> <br />d. <br /> <br />Clerical Assistance: <br /> <br />If the employee wishes to obtain clerical/secretarial assistance <br />in the preparation of any summary or report required by these <br />rules, the Personnel Department will provide the employee <br />necessary transcribing and typing services. <br />
