Ignitable wastes include liquids with a flash
point of less than 140°F; solids that ignite spontaneously
through absorption of moisture or through friction and burn
vigorously; flammable gases; and oxidizers.

Corrosivity. Corrosive wastes include aqueous solutions
with a pH less than or equal to 2 or greater than or equal
to 12.5, and liquids that corrode steel at a rate of greater
than 0.25 inch per year.

Reactivity. Reactive wastes include substances that are
unstable and readily undergo violent change: react violently
with water; form potentially explosive mixtures with water;
are capable of detonation or explosive reaction when exposed
to a strong initiating.

-52-
