13 RESOLUTION 1986-l30R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS ALONG MILL STREET; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AMENDMENT AND ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO CARRY IT OUT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, entered into a contract with the Texas Department of Community Affairs, Contract No. 00026217084, for the purpose of making public improvements along Mill Street in San Marcos, Texas, effective on October 15, 1984, and scheduled to terminate on May 31, 1986; later amended to terminate October 15,1986; and, WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, now desires to extend the terms of that contract for six (6) months beyond the scheduled termination date due to the additional time required to acquire the right-of-way necessary for the project; now, therefore, BE TEXAS: IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, PART 1. That the terms and conditions of that contract with the Texas Department of Community Affairs, Contract No. 00026217084, be amended by extending the termination date of October 15,1986 for six (6) months, until April 15, 1987, and approving a revised project implementation schedule to reflect the change, all as reflected in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes. PART 2. That the Mayor is hereby contract amendment, Exhibit A, and any to its implementation. authorized to execute the other documents necessary PART 3.
