Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present <br />With a quorum present, special meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Daniel Guerrero at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2013 in the Council Chambers <br />of the City of San Marcos City Hall, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />3. Consider approval of Ordinance 2013 -68, on first and final reading, canvassing returns <br />and declaring results of the General and Special Election, held on November 5, 2013, for <br />the purpose of electing City Council Member, Place 1, and City Council Member, Place <br />2, and to submit proposed amendments to the City Charter to the voters; providing for <br />the adoption of this ordinance as an emergency measure on only one reading; and <br />declaring an effective date. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Scott and a second by Council Member <br />Porterfield, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to approve Ordinance <br />2013 -68, as previously captioned. The motion carried unanimously. <br />
