c. Draft Sewer Use Ordinance: The Engineer shan prepare a Draft Sewer Use Ordinance to sub.it with the Plans and Spec:t ffclttons. d. Preli.fnary Plan of Operation: The Engineer shall pre~ære a Pre1181nary p1,¡n of Operation to suÞll1t with the Plans and Specifications. e. Generat Representation and Observltion During Construction: The Engineer shall furni Sll genera 1 representation and observation of tlte ~rk during the construction phase as follows: Assist tn the award of construction contracts; provide the Owne, with ten (10) sets of bidding doc-.nts; review shop drawings pursuant to the General Conditions of the Construction contract; make periodic (2 per IIOnth) visits to stte by office staff; review such work of testing laboratories as may be required by the Owner; keep the laboratories as MaY be required by tlte OWner; keep the Owner informed of the progress of the work; issue a" instructions of the Owner to Contractor; prepare change orders as required and review the application for pay.ent sub.ttted by the Contractor. The Engineer sha11 use reasonable d111glnce to detect defects and deficiencies in the work of Contractor and disapprove or reject work as failing to conform to the Contract OocUltents. Engineer shall not be responsible for the means. methods. techni ques, sequences or procedures of construction selected by Contractor or the safety precautions and progra.s incident to the work of the Contractor. Engineer sha11 not be responsible for the acts or omissions of any person, (except his own employees and agent) at the Project site or otherwise performing any of the work of the Project. f. Resident Representation During Construction: If requested by Owner. a Rest dent Project Representative wi 11 be furnished who will act as directed by the Engineer 1n order to provide more extensive representation at the Project site during the Construction Phase. The Owner shall advise the Engineer before the completion of the preparation of the Contract Documents if the Engineer is to provide this service. The duties and responsibilities and the limitations on the authority of the Resident Project Representative will be set forth in Attachment ,A which is to be identified. attached to and made a part of this Agreement. Construction layout will be provided as a part of Resident Project Representation.
