RESOLUTION 2013 -174R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND VICKREY & ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR THE PROVISION OF PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE RIO VISTA PARK PARKING IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $56,250.00 WHICH INCLUDES AN INCREASE OF $6,600.00 ABOVE THE PREVIOUS CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $49,650.00; RATIFYING THE CITY MANAGER'S EXECUTION OF THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE AUTHORIZATION OF CHANGE IN SERVICES NO. 1 ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 1. On February 1, 2012, the City entered into an agreement (the "Agreement ") with Vickrey & Associates, Inc. (the "Engineer ") for the provision of professional engineering services in connection with the Rio Vista Park Parking Improvements Project (the "Project ") in a not -to- exceed amount of $49,650.00. 2. The City has requested certain revisions to the original plan documents which has necessitated an increase of the Agreement by $6,600.00 for these additional services. 3. The approval of Authorization of Change in Services ( "ACIS ") No. 1 for $6,600.00 will cause the Agreement to exceed the previous Agreement amount of $49,650.00, and will trigger the need for City Council's approval of the Agreement. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. The Agreement between the City and the Engineer dated February 1, 2012 for the provision of professional engineering services in the total amount of $56,250.00 which includes an increase of $6,600.00 above the previous contract amount of $49,650.00 is approved. PART 2. The City Manager's execution of the Agreement on behalf of the City is ratified and the City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute ACIS No. 1 on behalf of the City. PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage.
