<br /> 142 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-17 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN NARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE <br /> TERr'IS AND CONDITIONS OF A PROPOSED LEASE <br /> AGREEHENrr BET~"lEEN SAID CITY AND THE <br /> UNITED STATES OF AHERICA FOR LEASE OF A <br /> PARCEL OF LAND CONTAINING 2.923 ACRES OUT <br /> OF THAT 132.65 ACRES OWl' OF THE T.G. <br /> MCGEHEE SURVEY, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS AND <br /> THE GRl\NTING OF A RIGHT-OP-WAY FOR <br /> NECESSARY FACILITY SITES FOR A HEDIUH <br /> INTENSITY APPROACH LIGHTING SYSTEM WITH <br /> ALIGNNENT INDICATOR IJIGHTS, GLIDE SLOPE, <br /> LOCALIZER, fUDDLE HARKER AND VISUAL <br /> APPROACH SLOPE INDICATOR AND FOR <br /> INSTALLATION OF RUI\~lAY 3Ø 4-BOX VISUAL <br /> APPROACH SLOPE INDICATORS WITH NECESSARY <br /> SUPPORTING CABLE RIGHTS-OF-WAY, AT THE <br /> SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT; AUTHORIZING <br /> THE llAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID LEASE AGREEfliENT <br /> AND ANY AND ALl. OTHER DOCUHENTS AND <br /> INSTRUMENTS INCIDENT THERETO ON BEHALF OF <br /> SAID Crrry; AND DECL.Z\.RING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, hereby finds and determines it to be in the interest <br />of the public health, safety and welfare to lease portions <br />of the San Marcos Municipal Airport to the United States of <br />America for construction and installation of certain <br />airport improvements; no\'1, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />r,íARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the terms and conditions of a proposed <br />lease agreement betwe~n said City and the United States of <br />America for the lease of a parcel of land containing 2.923 <br />acres out of that 132.65 acres out of the T.G. McGehee <br />Survey in Hays County, Te}{as, and the granting of a <br />r ight-of-vlay for necessary facility sites for a Nedium <br />Intensity Approach Lighting System With Alignment Indicator <br />Lights, Glide Slope, Localizer, Middle Harker and Visual <br />Approach Slope Indicator and for the installation of Runway <br />3Ø 4-box Visual Approach Slope Indicators with necessary <br />supporting cable rights-of-way at the San Marcos Hunicipal <br />Airport, being more particularly described in said proposed <br />lease agreement which is attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein for all purposes, are hereby in all things approved. <br /> PART 2. That the r.ïayor r Emmie Craddod;, be and :3he <br />is hereby, authorized to execute said agreement and any and <br />all other documents and instruments incident thereto on <br />behalf of said City. <br /> PART 3.
