THE DAILY RECORD, San Marcos, TX., Sunday, November 3, 2013 - PAGE 5B <br />"NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDMENT OF <br />WATER AND WASTEWATER IMPACT FEES" <br />NOTICE IS.' BY GIVEN :that the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas will <br />hold a public hearing in the City Couaied'Chambers at City Hall, located at 630 East gip- <br />king Street, San Marcos, Texas on December 3, 2013 at 7 p.m. to consider the amendnvW of <br />land use assumptions, a capital improvements plan, and imposition, of updated impact fees for <br />new or expanded water and/or wastewater utility service from the. City of San Marcos. Any per - <br />son has the right to appear at the hearing and present evidence ft or against the proposed fee. <br />The potential impact fee application area of the City, of San Marcos, the area bounded by the <br />dark line shown in the maps below, is where the fee may be levied in -full or in- part;.depending <br />on the service arrangement, and in no way obligates the City to extend service beyond its incor- <br />porated area. The City's *existing impact fees are $2,466 per Living Unit Equivalent (LUE) for <br />water service and $2,185/LUE for wastewater service, totaling $4,65 i/LUE for combined water <br />and wastewater service. The newly undated maximum fee calculations. are $2',285/LUE. for water <br />service and $3,506/LUE for wastewater service, totaling $5,791/LVE for combined service. If the <br />maximum fees wVre to be adopted; the - water fee would decrease .by $181 /LUE, the wastewater <br />fee would increase by $1,321/LUE and the combined fees would realize a net increase of <br />$1,140/LUE. The- exact amount of the impact fees to be levied, at or below the updated maxi- <br />mums, will be determined by the San Marcos City Council subsequent to the Public Hearing. <br />The City's Capital Improvements Advisory Committee has recommended to City Council that the <br />fees be kept at ,their current levels.
