<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR 10 EXECUTE A
<br />CORRECTION DEED FROM SAID CITY CONVEYING A PART OF IDT
<br />NO. FDUR (4) IN BIœK NO. NINE (9)- OF THE D.S. COMBS
<br />ADDITION 10 THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, 10 J. P.
<br />STEADMAN, KNODLE 'lURNER, HAROID THOMPffiN AND ISAAC
<br />COCKRAM, TRUSTEES OF THE ANTIOCH CHURCH OF OUR LORD
<br />JEffiS CHRIST; AND DECLARING AN EFFOCTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, advertised for bids for
<br />the sale of a part of Lot No. Four (4) in Block No. Nine (9) of the
<br />D. S. Combs Addi tion to the City of San Marcos, in Hays County, Texas,
<br />also known as Urban Renewal Parcel No. 33A-3, in the San Marcos Record,
<br />a local newspaper with a general circulation in the County of Hays,
<br />State of Texas, on May 9,1982, and May 16,1982; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement a bid was submitted by the
<br />Antioch Church of OUr lord Jesus Christ, of San Marcos, Texas, for said
<br />described property in the amount of One Thousand Ibllars ($1,000.00);
<br />and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said bid met the minlinum disposition price set for
<br />said property by the Urban Renewal Ibard of Commissioners of the City
<br />of San Marcos, Texas on April 13, 1982; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said Ibard accepted the bid as the highest and best
<br />responsible bid for said property on June 1,1982; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said Ibard recommended the approval of said purchase
<br />price and the approval of the terms and conditions for said sale, as
<br />contained in the bid document; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, on July 26, 1982, the Mayor of said City executed a
<br />Warranty Deed conveying said property to said Church; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it is necessary that a Correction Deed be executed
<br />conveying said property to J. P. Steadman, Knodle 'furner, Harold
<br />'Ihompson and Isaac Cockram, as Trustees of said Church; now,
<br />therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor, Eìmnie Craddock, be and she is hereby
<br />authorized to execute a Correction Deed to J.P. Steadman, Knodle
<br />Turner, Harold Thompson and Isaac Cockram, Trustees of the Antioch
<br />Church of Olr Lord Jesus Christ, conveying a part of Lot No. Four (4)
<br />in Block No. Nine (9) of the D. S. Combs Addition to the City of
<br />San Marcos, Texas, Hays County, according to the plat thereof recorded
<br />in Vol. 42, page 332, Hays County Deed Records, which said portion of
<br />said lot is more accurately described by metes and bounds as
<br />follows, to-wi t :

<br />BEGINNING, at a point on the northeast line of a street called
<br />Shady lane, south 48° l' east 41.67 feet from the south corner
<br />of Lot No. Three (3) in Block No. Six (6) of said addition,
<br />said point being also north 48° l' west 344 feet from the south
<br />corner of Block No. Nine (9) of said addition;
<br />
<br />THENCE, south 48° l' east with the northeast line of said Shady
<br />lane 115 feet to an iron stake for corner;
<br />
<br />THENCE, north 45 ° east 44.7 feet to iron stake for corner;
<br />
<br />THENCE, north 51 ° 59' west 115.88 feet to stake on southeast
<br />line of a public street;
<br />
<br />THENCE, with the southeast line of said public street south 45°
<br />west 36.7 feet to an iron stake, THE PLACE OF BEGINNING.
