THEREOF; AMENDING SECTION 29-152(c) OF ~~. ARTICLE VII OF SAID CODE TO PROVIDE THAT ..1 ANY VEHICLES FOUND STANDING OR PARKED ~ ~ UPON PARTS OF STREETS OR ALLEYS DESIGNATED -~~ ea THEREIN SHALL BE A NUISANCE PER SE AND ~ ~ WHEN SIGNS ARE ERECTED GIVING NOTICE . .. THEREOF AND DESIGNATING SUCH AREAS AS TOW-AWAY ZONES, THEY SHALL BE REMOVED BY ANY POLICE OFFICER AND TAKEN TO A PLACE DESIGNATED BY THE CHIEF OF POLICE; AMENDING SAID SECTION OF SAID ARTICLE OF SAID CODE TO ADD THREE LOCATIONS WITHIN SAID CITY WHICH SHALL BE DESIGNATED AS TOW-AWAY ZONES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAß, after study of current parking problems within the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos, Tex~s, Myron L. Galchutt, Chief of Police of said City, has recommended certain areas at which parking should be prohibited and certain areas which should be designated as tow-away zones; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of said City, having examined said recommendations, hereby finds and determines that the designation of said locations as no parking areas and tow-away zones is in the interest of the public health, safety and welfare; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 29-123 of Article V of the Code of Ordinances, City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to add the following location in prpper alphabetical sequence at which or any part of which no person shall park a vehicle when signs are erected giving notice thereof: Alley, both sides, between Guadalupe Street and Elm Street. SECTION 2. That Section 29-152(c) of Article VII of the Code of Ordinances, City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to add the words "or alleys" following the word "streets" in the second line therein. SECTION 3. That Section 29-152(c) of Article VII of the Code of Ordinances, City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to add the following locations in proper alphabetical sequence which are hereby designated as tow-away zones: Alley, both sides, between Guadalupe Street and Elm Street. Bugg Lane, both sides, from the Missouri-Pacific Railroad tracks to Hopkins Street. Burleson Street, both sides, Kasch Street to Gillette Street.
