<br /> 106 <br /> ORDINANCE 1985~45 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, h\1ENDING <br /> CHAPTER 16, SECTION 16-28 OF THE Sfu'\I <br /> MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES TO REQUIRE <br /> POSTING OF NOTICES OF SALE OF IMPOUNDED <br /> PROPERTY IN CERTAIN LOCATIONS; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That Chapter 16, Section 16-28 of the <br />San Marcos Code of Ordinances be amended by deleting the <br />present Section 16-28 and substituting the following: <br /> See.. 16-28. Notice of sale of impounded property. <br /> Before selling any personal property as provided <br /> for in this article, the impounder shall post two <br /> notices thereof, one at the Hays County Courthouse <br /> and one at the main entrance of the City Hall and <br /> shall cause a copy thereof to be published in a <br /> newspaper regularly published in the City of San <br /> Marcos once a week for two consecutive weeks, the <br /> date of the firs t publication to be at least <br /> fourteen days prior to the day of the sale. The <br /> notice of the sale shall describe the impounded <br /> property, state that the same is unredeemed, state <br /> that the same will be sold, and designate the <br /> place, manner, time and date of the sale. <br /> SECTION' 2.
