<br />121 <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1985~54 <br /> <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN ~mRCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />SECTION 30-7 OF ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 30 <br />~ OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO <br />~ INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF DEPOSITS FOR ALL <br />NEW CONNECTIONS FOR UTILITY SERVICES TO <br />INDIVIDUALLY METERED RESIDENTIAL UNITS TO <br />$35.0Ø AND TO COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS <br />AND ALL RESIDENTIAL UNITS NOT METERED <br />INDIVIDUALLY TO TWO (2) TIMES THEIR <br />ESTIMATED AVERAGE MONTHLY BILL OR $60.ØØ, <br />WHICHEVER IS GREATER; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />f4ARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That Section 30-7 of Article I of <br />Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 30-7. Deposits. <br /> <br />A $35.00 deposit shall be paid for all new <br />connections for utility service to each <br />individually metered residential unit in the <br />City. A deposit of $60.ØØ or two (2) times the <br />estimated average monthly bill, whichever is <br />greater, shall be paid for all new connections <br />for utility service to each commercial <br />establishment and to those residential units <br />which are not individually metered. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
