<br /> 53 <br /> RESOLUTION 1985-48R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE <br /> SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION BY THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br /> PROGRAM TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF <br /> COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR $300,000.00 IN <br /> FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC <br /> FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDING STREET <br /> AND DRAINAGE CONSTRUCTION IN THE VICTORY <br /> GARDENS AND DUNBAR AREAS OF SAID CITY; <br /> AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE COST <br /> PARTICIPATION BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS IN THE AMOUNT OF $300,000.00 FOR <br /> THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS¡ <br /> AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO <br /> SIGN AND SUBMIT SAID APPLICATION; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, is entitled to <br />particpate in the Housing and Community Development Act <br />funding for fiscal year 1985-86; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, desires to <br />exercise said entitlement through the Community Development <br />Project Fund; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said City desires to submit an application on <br />behalf of the City of San Marcos, Texas Community <br />Development Program to the Texas Department of Community <br />Affairs for funds for the construction of Public Facility <br />Improvements in the Victory Gardens and Dunbar Areas of said <br />City; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the submission of an application by the <br />City of San Marcos, Community Development Program to the <br />Texas Department of Community Affairs for $300,000.00 in <br />funds from the Community Development Project Fund for the <br />construction of Public Facility Improvements in the Victory <br />Gardens and Dunbar Areas of said City, is hereby approved. <br />A copy of said application is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein for all intents and purposes. <br /> PART 2. That the cost participation by the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas in the amount of $300,000.00 in bond funds for <br />the construction of said improvements is hereby authorized <br />and approved. <br /> PART 3. That the Mayor, Emmie Craddock, be, and she is <br />hereby, authorized to sign and submit said application and <br />any other documents and instruments necessary to the <br />application process on behalf of said City of San Marcos, <br />Texas. <br /> PART 4.
