(c) The city attorney is authorized to, but shall have no obligation to, file suit or take other action to collect any civil fines, penalties, and costs assessed under the Ordinance and these Procedures. SECTION 13 — DISPOSITION OF CIVIL FINES, PENALTIES, AND COSTS ASSESSED FOR SCHOOL BUS STOP ARM VIOLATIONS. Civil fines, penalties, and costs assessed under this article must be used to fund the automated school bus stop arm enforcement program, other programs designed to further student safety, and other traffic safety projects and improvements.
