10 RESOLUTION 1985-59R A REmLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A CONTRACT FOR THE SESmM INTERCEP'IOR REHABI LITATI ON, MANHOLE 32 THROUGH MANHOLE 26 SLIP LINING; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR 'ill EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT; AUTHORI ZING AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFOR; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, desires to enter into a contract with Shur-Flo, Inc. for the performance of work in connection with the Sessom Interceptor Rehabilitation, Manhole 32 Through Manhole 26 Slip Lining, For City of San Marcos, Texas Project; and, WHEREAS, said City Council hereby finds and dete rmi nes that a public calamity exists which requires the linmediate construction and completion of said project to preserve and protect the public health of the citizens of said City, and, therefore, that the contract for the construction of this project falls under the exceptions to the competitive bidding requirements of Article 2368a, V.A.C.S.; now, therefore, BE IT RESJLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the terms and conditions of a proposed contract with Shur-Flo, Inc. , a copy of which is on file in the City Secretary's Office of said City, for the performance of work in connection with that project known as Sessan Interceptor Rehabilitation, Manhole 32 Through Manhole 26 Slip Lining, For City Of San Marcos, Texas, are hereby in all things approved. PART 2. That the Mayor of said City, Ehuni e Craddock, is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of said Ci ty . PART 3. That the expenditure of funds in the amount of $58,934.00 for the performance of said work is hereby authorized and approved. PART 4.
