Texas 78666 <br />Dear Mayor Craddock: <br />As the City of San Marcos makes itsl application for the honored <br />designation of Official Main Street City. I would like to take this <br />opportunity to lend the support of the San Marcos Jaycees. As an <br />active civic organization. committed to making San Marcos a better <br />place to live. we feel that a designation from the Texas Historical <br />Commission would only further enhance the improvements that this <br />community has already begun. <br />San Marcos has the potential to become one of the premier showplaces <br />of Texas and with the assistance of this designation the Commission <br />would be proud they selected us. In addition to the beautification <br />of the downtown area. an economic growth would arise that is deserved <br />by those who have worked so hard to make our central business <br />district a center for commerce. <br />In closing. on behalf of the San Marcos Jaycees. I would like to say <br />that we would be proud to assist the City in any way possible should <br />our c~mmunity have the opportunity to be selected.
