<br />7 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />November 10, 1986 <br /> <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE EXECUTION BY THE MAYOR <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS OF ADDENDUM NO.1 TO THE <br />PURCHASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE LOWER COLORADO RIVER <br />AUTHORITY AND THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DATED <br />OCTOBER 30, 1986, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mayor Younger se- <br />conded the motion. Mayor Younger moved to amend the Resolution as <br />follows: in the caption to add "RATIFYING THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT AS <br />AMENDED" following the word 1986; and in PART 1. to add "and further <br />ratifies and confirms in all respects said purchase agreement as <br />amended by Addendum No.1 above," at the end of that Section, and <br />Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Brown, Farr, Younger Guerra, Kissler, Nicola. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Coddington. <br /> <br />On roll call for adoption of the Resolution, the following vote was <br />reco rded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Brown, Farr, Younger, Guerra Kissler Nicola. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Coddington. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING TEE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF <br />A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH LEON BREEDEN <br />RELATING TO HIS SERVICE AS A TEMPORARY MUNICIPAL COURT <br />JUDGE, AUThORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mayor Younger second- <br />ed the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Brown, Farr Younger, Guerra, Kissler Nicola. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Coddington. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration the appointment of a Special <br />Judge to preside at a Municipal Court trial for Councilman Coddington <br />pursuant to Section 2-73(d) (1) of the Code of Ordinances and directing <br />the Mayor to implement the decision. Mr. Coddington advised the Council <br />that no citation had been given to his dog and that no citation had been <br />given to him when he picked up his dog. Ee requested that the Animal <br />Warden contact him regarding the citation. He then received a letter <br />from the Municipal Court with a copy of the citation and the Court has <br />scheduled a trial November 23. He stated the Court could not try a case <br />until a Judge is appointed. In the event there is a trial Mr. Guerra <br />moved to appoint Leon Breeden as Special Judge for such a trial and Mr. <br />Farr seconded the motion.
