<br /> STATEMENT OF WORK <br />The purpose of this contract is to promote recovery management of four <br />listed species in the San Marcos River, Texas. The following objectives <br />will be accomplished: <br />1. Gather information on property ownership, land use, and water <br /> rights ownership in the San Marcos River Corridor from Spring <br /> Lake (headwater of the river) to Cummings Dam below the Blanco <br /> River confluence. <br />2. From informa tion obtained in obje ct ive 1, prepare maps showing <br /> the distribution of property ownership, existing land uses, water <br /> rights ownership, and wa ter wi thd rawals ( if any). <br />3. Prepare a soil map of the river corridor. <br />4. Briefly describe recreational uses of the river, including <br /> types of recreational uses, relative magnitude of the uses, <br /> seasonal occurrence of the uses and segment(s) of the corridor <br /> in which the uses occur. <br />5. Describe in-channel dams and their history from Spring Lake <br /> to Cummi ngs Dam. <br />6. Suggest topics for further study and suggest how present information <br /> and information from future studies could be used in management <br /> of the river corridor for recovery of listed species. <br />
