<br /> 66 <br /> ORDINANCE 1985-l03R <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE Crl'Y COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE <br /> APPRAISAL ROLL FOR 1985 WITH TAX AMOUNTS <br /> ENTERED THEREON BY 'rHE TAX <br /> ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR AS THE 1985 TAX ROLL <br /> OF SAID Crrry; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, passed an <br /> ordinance on September 10 , 1985, setting the tax rate for <br /> said City for the 1985 tax year; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor-Collector for said City, upon <br /> receipt of notice of the setting of said tax rate, has <br /> calculated the tax imposed on each property included on the <br /> appraisal roll for said City and entered the amounts of tax <br /> on said roll; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor-Collector for said City has <br /> submitted the said appraisal roll to the governing body of <br /> said City for approval in accordance with §26.09(e), Texas <br /> Property Tax Code; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE Crry COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. 'rhat the 1985 appraisal roll as submitted <br /> by the Tax Assessor-Collector for the City of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, with tax amounts entered thereon as calculated by said <br /> Tax Assessor-Collector based on the tax rate heretofore set <br /> by ordinance on September 10 , 1985, is in all things <br /> approved and shall henceforth constitute the tax roll for the <br /> City of San Marcos Texas, for the year 1985. <br /> SECTION 2. That the importance of this Ordinance <br /> creates an emergency and an imperative public necessity so <br /> that the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances <br /> shall be presented at three separate meetings and that no <br /> ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of ten <br /> (10) days following the date of its final passage be <br /> suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and <br /> this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and <br /> effect from and after its adoption and after its publication <br /> in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required <br /> by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 28- day of <br /> October , 1985. <br /> ~ C~ <br /> Emmie Craddock <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> ~ a~:/ ;jr ~ <br /> City Secretary , <br /> amar W.
