<br /> 68 <br /> RESOLUTION 1985 -1 0 lR <br /> A REffiLUTION OF 'IHE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXA.S, ESTABLISHING FEES FOR PERffiNAL HEAL'IH <br /> SERVICES PERFORMED BY 'IHE SAN MARCOS-HAYS COUN'IY HEAL'IH <br /> DEPARTMENT, RAISING FEES FDR FCX)D ESTABLISHMENT PERMITS <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFOCTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the Texas DepartIœnt of Health is encouraging all local <br /> Heal th Departments to chanJe fees for personal health services to <br /> generate new revenues; and, <br /> VlliEREAS, in Texas approximately one-half of all local Health <br /> I:Þ-partments are charging fees for personal heal th services; and, <br /> WHEREAS, S:m Marcos-Hays County Health Department will not deny <br /> services to anyone because he or she is unable to pay; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the current fees for food establishment permits are not <br /> enough to cover costs of inspections; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT REffiLVID BY 'IHE CITY CDUNCIL OF 'IHE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the following fee schedule is approved for personal <br /> health services: <br /> SERVICE DESCRIPTION NUMBER PROFOSED <br /> LAST YEAR CHARGE <br /> Veneral Disease V.D. Diagnosis 256 $3.00 <br /> Veneral Disease Pa tien ts trea ted 115 5.00 <br /> Immunizations 4500 2.00 <br /> Prenatal Clinic :vJa terni ty Clinic 532 3.00 per <br /> (Average 4 visits) (Visits) visit ($12 <br /> max. chg.) <br /> Well Child Clinic Child examinations and 294 3.00 <br /> immuniza tions <br /> Blood Pressure 8774 1.00 <br /> Diabetic Screenirg 430 2.00 <br /> TUberculosis Skin 1151 1.00 <br /> Tests <br /> No person unable to pay the fee shall be denied personal health <br /> services because of inability to pay. <br /> SECTION 2. That the followlrYJ fee schedule is approved for food <br /> establishment permit fees: <br /> Eating, Drinking and Grocery Establishment <br /> (Based on Number of Employees) #Establishments Charge <br /> 1 - 5 Employees 75 $30 <br /> 6 - 19 Employees 65 45 <br /> 20 and above 20 60 <br /> SECTION 3. That the fee schedule for personal health services and <br /> tile fee schedule for eating establishment permits approved by this <br /> resolution shall be in effect November 1,1986. <br /> SECTION 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect <br /> from and after its passage. <br /> ADOPTED this 28 day of October , 1985. <br />
