<br /> 11 <br /> RESOLUTION 1985-114R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING <br /> FREE PARKING IN METERED PARKING STALLS <br /> IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT FROM <br /> WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 18, 1985 THROUGH <br /> FRIDAY, JANUARY 3, 1986; AND DECLARING <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has been requested to <br /> authorize a free parking meter holiday in the Central Busi- <br /> ness District during the corning holiday season; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to encourage the <br /> citizens of San Marcos to patronize local businesses by <br /> removing metered parking during the Christmas and New <br /> Year's shopping season; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the enforcement of metered parking in <br /> the Central Business District of San Marcos, Texas be sus- <br /> pended beginning on Wednesday, December 18, 1985 and ending <br /> on Friday, January 3, 1986. <br /> PART 2.
