<br /> 22 <br /> ORDINANCE 1985-136 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING 'IRA T ORDINANCE ADOPTED ON <br /> OC'IDBER 28, 1985 WHICH DECLARED A MORA'IDRIUM UNTI L <br /> DECEMBER 31, 1985, ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF AND BUI WING <br /> PERMITS FOR OFF-PREMISE OUTDCDR ADVERTISING SIGNS ANY- <br /> vVHERE vvITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF SAID CITY AND WHICH <br /> PROVIDED FOR VARIANCES, 'ID EXTEND SAID MORA'IDRIUM A\fD <br /> ALL THE PROVISIONS OF SAID ORDINANCE THROUGH JANUARY 31, <br /> 1986; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTI ON 1. That that ordinance adopted by the City of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, on (~tober 28, 1985 which declared a moratorium until December <br /> 31, 1985 on the construction of and building permits for off-premise <br /> outdoor advertising signs anYM1ere within the jurisdiction of said <br /> City and which provided for variances, is hereby amended to extend said <br /> moratorium and all the provisions of said ordinance through January 31, <br /> 1986. <br /> SECTION 2. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an <br /> emergency and an imperative public necessity so that the provisions of <br /> the Charter requiring that ordinances shall be presented at three <br /> separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective until <br /> the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its final passage <br /> be suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and this <br /> Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and <br /> after its adoption and after its publication in a newspaper of general <br /> circulation within the City as provided by the City Charter of the City <br /> of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18 day of December, 1985. <br /> /~~ <br /> k- <br /> Emmie Craddock ~---,. <br /> Mayor <br /> K. 1/'bmack <br /> Ci ty Secretary <br /> ~~~-- <br /> Lamar W.
