EXHIBIT "A", Page 1 *********** FIELD NOTES *********** A parcel of land containing 3.489 acres out of the William Pettus Survey, Caldwell County, Texas, and lying wholly within the San Marcos Airport; this parcel is shown on a plat of a survey dated 13 December 1983 by Charles R. Swart, Surveyor, and is more particularly described by metes and bounds in the following paragraphs. The aluminum caoped iron monument cited is a 5/8" diameter iron bar with a 1 1/2" diameter aluminum cap marked GT + 3 1983 CHARLES R. SWART SURVEYOR and with the identifying point number shown on the plat and cited herein. Bearings are based on the centerline bearing of State Highway 21 as shown on the right of way map of the Texas Highway Department dated March 1937, as the centerline was found marked on the qround between stations 129+53 and 158+10. The point cited herein as the West Reference Mark is a 3/8" di ameter dri 11 hole near the west end of the concrete parking ramp, and 9.5 feet north of the south edge of the ramp. The point cited herein as the East Reference Mark is a 3/8" diameter drill hole in the concrete parking ramp opposite the east legs of the old control tower, and 9.5 feet from the south edge of the ramp. From the West Reference Mark, the East Reference Mark bears South 89°- 581-34"East a distance of 1505.44 feet. Beginning at a point on the west edge of the concrete parking ramp, from which a 3/8" diameter drill hole in the concrete ramp bears North 67°-27.7IEast a distance of 2.00 feet as a witness point; from this point of beginning the intersection of the center1ines of runways 4 and 12 bears North 38°-01.5'East a distance of 3313.78 feet, the West Reference Mark bears South 26°-21.0'East a distance of 263.81 feet, and the East Reference Mark bears South 81°-41.3' East a distance of 1639.76 feet; thence, from the point of beginning, South 67°-27.7'West a distance of 400.00 feet to point 113, which is marked with an aluminum capped iron monument; thence North 22°-32.3'West a distance of 380.00 feet to point 114, which is marked with an aluminum capped iron monument; thence North 67°-27.7IEast a distance of 400.00 feet to point 115, which is marked with an aluminum capped iron monument on the west edge of the taxiway; thence South 22°-32.3'East along the west edge of the taxiway and ramp a dis- tance of 380.00 feet to the point of beginning.
