<br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE 19
<br /> 41 WHICH DETEffi1INED APPROPRIATIONS FOR
<br /> SHARING ENTITLEMENT NO. 14; AMENDING
<br /> 1983-45 ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 12, 1983 WHICH -

<br /> FORTH AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE ~
<br /> CONDUCTING EACH ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE
<br /> MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE
<br /> FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1983, AND
<br /> ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1984, AND APPROPRIATED
<br /> MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF
<br /> SUCH ESTIMATE; TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES AND
<br /> TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS; ADOPTING SAID
<br /> REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES AND DECLARING AN EFFEC-
<br /> TIVE DATE.
<br /> WHE REAS, after publication of notice on August 5, 1983,
<br /> the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a
<br /> public hearing on August 15, 1983, on the budget proposed
<br /> by the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning
<br /> October 1, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, at said public hearing all interested persons
<br /> were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any
<br /> item or the amount of any item therein contained; and,
<br /> vvHEREAS, public hearings to consider proposed uses of
<br /> Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 15 funds were held on
<br /> August 1, 1983, and August 15, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after said public hearings, the City Council
<br /> of the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for
<br /> said City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1983,
<br /> and ending on September 30, 1984, on September 12, 1983; and
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of
<br /> the expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government
<br /> for said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various
<br /> funds and purposes of such estimate; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after notice and public hearing on September 7,
<br /> 1982, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, by
<br /> Ordinance 1982-41 adopted the budget for said City for the
<br /> fiscal year beginning October 1, 1982 and ending on September
<br /> 30, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget determined appropriations for funds
<br /> received as Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 14; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said City Council finds and determines that a
<br /> public necessity exists which requires reappropriation of the
<br /> funds from Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 14; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City
<br /> Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council
<br /> declares that a public necessity exists, which requires amend-
<br /> ment of said budget; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS, TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1983-45, adopted September 12,
<br /> 1983, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense of
<br /> conducting each administrative unit of the municipal government
<br /> of said City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1983, and
<br /> ending on September 30, 1984, and appropriated money for the
<br /> various funds and purposes of such estimate, be, and the same
<br /> is hereby, amended as set forth in Exhibit A which is attached
<br /> hereto and is incorporated herein, in words and figures as shown
<br /> therein, for all intents and purposes.
