<br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, COMBINATION TAX AND REVENUE
<br /> IFICATES OF OBLIGATION, SERIES 1984-A

<br /> WHEREAS, this City Council, by resolution adopted on January 30,
<br />1984, directed publication of notice of said City's intention to issue
<br />a maximum principal amount of not exceeding $5,800,000 certificates of
<br />obligation of said City for the purpose of paying contractual
<br />obligations to be incurred for the acquisition, construction and
<br />installàtion of additions, improvements and extensions to, and
<br />equipment. for, the City's sewer system.
<br /> WHEREAS, such notice was published in the manner and to the
<br />extent required by law;
<br /> WHEREAS, there has not been filed with the City Secretary or any
<br />other officer of said City a petition protesting the issuance of such
<br />certificates of obligation and requesting an election on same; and
<br /> WHEREAS, it is affirmatively found that this City Council is
<br />authorized to proceed with the issuance and sale of such certificates
<br />of obligation as authorized by the Constitution and laws of the State
<br />of Texas, particularly Article 2368a.l, V.T.C.S., as amended, and in
<br />accordance with the terms of this Ordinance; Now, Therefore
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS:
<br /> Section 1. AUTHORIZATION; DESIGNATION; PRINCIPAL AMOUNT;
<br />PURPOSE. The certificates of obligation of said City to be designated
<br />as "CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TE XAS, COMBINATION TAX AND REVENUE
<br />CE RT IF I CATES OF OBLIGATION, SERIES 1984-A" (the "Certificates") are
<br />hereby authorized to be issued in the aggregate principal amount of
<br />$5,800,000 for the purpose of paying contractual obligations to be
<br />incurred for the acquisition, construction and installation of
<br />additions, improvements and extensions to, and equipment for, the
<br />City's sewer system.
<br /> Section 2. DATE; MATURITIES. The Certificates shall be
<br />initially dated April 1, 1984 (the "Initial Date"), and shall become
<br />due and payable on August 1 in each of the years as follows:
