<br />and may be United States Treasury Obligations such as the State and <br />Local Government Series and may be in book-entry form. <br /> (n) The term "Paying Agent/Registrar" means Paying <br />Agent/Registrar named in this Ordinance as such Paying <br />Agent/Registrar, until a successor Paying Agent/Registrar shall have <br />become such pursuant to the applicable provisions of this Ordinance, <br />after which the term "Paying Agent/Registrar" shall mean such <br />successor; <br /> (0) The term "Predecessor Certificate" means Certificates <br />cancelled by this Ordinance, evidencing all or a portion, as the case <br />may be, of the same debt evidenced by the new Certificate or <br />Certificates registered and delivered in the exchange or transfer <br />therefor, and such term includes any Certificate registered and <br />delivered pursuant to this Ordinance in lieu of a mutilated, lost, <br />destroyed or stolen Certificate which shall be deemed to evidence the <br />same obligation as the mutilated, lost, destroyed or stolen <br />Certificate; <br /> (p) The term "Registration Books" means the books established <br />and maintained for the registration, payment and transfer of <br />Certificates provided in Section 5 of this Ordinance. <br /> (q) The term "Outstanding Certificates" means the outstanding <br />certificates of the following issues of the City: <br /> City of San Marcos, Texas, Combination Tax and <br /> Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 1982; <br /> City of San Marcos, Texas, Combination Tax and <br /> Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 1982- <br /> A; <br /> City of San Marcos, Texas, Combination Tax and <br /> Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 1982- <br /> B; and <br /> City of San Marcos, Texas, Combination Tax and <br /> Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 1984; <br />and the Certificates are "additional certificates of obligation on a <br />parity, insofar as net revenues are concerned" with the Outstanding <br />Certificates, as permitted by the ordinances authorizing the <br />Outstanding Certificates. Sections 8, 9 and 14 of the ordinance <br />authorizing the City's Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of <br />Obligation, Series 1982, are hereby adopted by reference and shall be <br />applicable to the certificates authorized hereby for all purposes, <br />except to the extent specifically modified and supplemented hereby. <br /> Section 13. INTEREST AND SINKING FUND. In addition to the funds <br />created by the ordinances authorizing the Outstanding Certificates, <br />the following fund is hereby created and shall be established and <br />maintained at an official depository bank of the City, so long as any <br />of the Certificates or interest thereon are outstanding and unpaid: <br /> City of San Marcos, Texas, Combination Tax and <br /> Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 1984- <br /> A, Interest and Sinking Fund, hereinafter referred <br /> to as the "Interest and Sinking Fund". <br /> Section 14. DEPOSITS OF REVENUES IN INTEREST AND SINKING FUND. <br />In addition to the amounts required by the ordinances authorizing the <br />Outstanding Certificates, there shall be deposited from the Revenue <br />Fund into the Interest and Sinking Fund hereby established, on or <br />before January 15, 1985, and semiannually on or before the 15th day of <br /> -12- <br />
