That the official canvass of the returns of <br /> said election reflects that the following <br /> person was duly elected Council Member, Place <br /> Four, of the City of San Marcos: <br /> Betty Jane Kissler <br />D. That the official canvass of the returns of <br /> said election reflects that the following <br /> amendments were approved or defeated by a <br /> majority of the qualified voters voting at <br /> said election: <br /> Proposition No. 1 <br /> Amend the portion of Section 2.03 regarding <br /> public hearings and notice thereof for <br /> annexations and regarding the extension of <br /> utilities to such areas and procedures <br /> therefor to conform to current state law. <br /> FOR: 1040 AGAINST: 380 <br /> Proposition No. 2 <br /> Add Section 2.04 to provide for limited <br /> purpose annexation. <br /> FOR: 904 AGAINST: 493 <br /> "- <br /> Proposition No. 3 <br /> Amend Section 3.01(b) to delete that portion <br /> of said section beginning with the phrase <br /> "Upon adoption of this Charter amendment" to <br /> the end of that section, all of such deleted <br /> portion concerning the terms of years of <br /> council members when they were originally <br /> elected and the same being now legally <br /> unnecessary to the City Charter. <br /> FOR: 948 AGAINST: 399 <br /> --- <br /> Proposition No. 4 <br /> Amend Section 3.04 to provide for maximum <br /> annual reimburseable expenses for the mayor <br /> of $6,000.00 and for maximum annual <br /> reimburseable expenses of city council <br /> members, excluding the mayor, of $3,600.00 <br /> each. <br /> FOR: 761 AGAINST:~2--- <br />
