<br />92 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Special Meeting February 4, 1985 Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE PAYMENT <br />OF THE SUM OF $93,259.00 TO STATE BANK AND TRUST COM- <br />PANY, AS TRUSTEE OF THE MAUDE T. PATTERSON TRUST, OWNER <br />OF A 2.923 ACRE TRACT AND A 45.762 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY <br />OUT OF THE T. G. MCGEHEE SURVEY IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, <br />SAID AMOUNT BEING THE AMOUNT OF THE AWARD OF THE SPECIAL <br />COMMISSIONERS IN THAT CERTAIN EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDING <br />FILED BY SAID CITY ON OCTOBER 10, 1984 IN THE COUNTY <br />COURT AT LAW OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler seconded <br />the motion. The Council directed the addit:þnal $28,000.00 over and <br />above which sum is included in an FAA grant be taken from General Fund <br />Balance and a budget amendment Ordinance be prepared. Betty Stansbury <br />advised the Council as much as one-half of the $28,000.00 may be re- <br />funded to the City by FAA in the future. The Council voted unanimously <br />for adoption of the Resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration authorization to bid a <br />snorkel firetruck. Mr. Coddington moved to authorize bidding for a <br />new or used snorkel firetruck with or without a lease purchase option <br />for a minimum of three years and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration direction to Staff to <br />prepare a budget amendment Ordinance for overrun on award of bids <br />on the Fish Hatchery Building and Park Patrol Building/Parks and Re- <br />creation Office Building and the source of funds (award of these bids <br />were made by the Council at the January 28, 1985 Meeting). After <br />much discussion of the options presented by the City Manager, Mr. <br />Farr moved the overrun for the award of these bids be taken from the <br />General Fund Balance and a budget amendment Ordinance be prepared. Mr. <br />Coddington secon¿ed the rr.otion. On roll call the following vote was reoorded: AYE: <br />Brown, Coddington, Farr, Craddock, Kissler; NAY: Moore; ABSTAIN: None. <br />The meeting adjourned at 5:43 p.m. on motion made by Ms. Kissler and <br />seconded by Mayor Craddock. ¿.
