<br /> 63 <br /> RESOLUTION 1984-28R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AMENDED <br /> CONTRACT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE SAN MARCOS <br /> CHAMBER OF C«JMMlEkRGE. FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF <br /> SECTION 26-21 OF' THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF <br /> SAID CITY¡ AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY <br /> TO EXECUTE SAID AMENDED CONTRACT AND DECLARING <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos has <br />enacted, in Article II of Chapter 26 of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, a hotel occupancy tax; <br />and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to contract with <br />persons or organizations for the administration of the funds <br />collected from the hotel room occupancy tax pursuant to the <br />guidelines for use of proceeds listed in Section 26-21 of <br />said Code; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce proposed to <br />provide such service for the City of San Marcos and said City <br />has previously contracted with the Chamber for said service¡ <br />now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. Tha t the terms and conditions of the amended <br />Contract for Services between the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />and the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce for the administration <br />of Section 26-21 of the Code of Ordinances of said City, a <br />copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for <br />all intents and purposes, are hereby approved in all <br />respects. <br /> PART 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Emmie <br />Craddock, is hereby authorized to execute said amended <br />contract on behalf of the City of San Marcos. <br /> PART 3.
