<br />EXHIBIT A , Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />*********** <br />FIELD NOTES <br />*********** <br />A parcel of land containing 2400 square feet out of the William Pettus Survey, <br />Caldwell County, Texas, and lying wholly within the San Marcos Airport; this <br />parcel is shown on a plat of a survey dated 4 April 1984 by Charles R. Swart, <br />Surveyor, and is more particularly described by metes and bounds in the fol- <br />lowing paragraphs. <br /> <br />The aluminum capped iron witness monument cited is a 5/8" diameter iron bar <br />with a 1 1/2" diameter aluminum cap marked <br /> <br />INGRAM <br />1984 <br />CHARLES R. SWART <br />SURVEYOR <br />W.C. <br />2.00 FT O.S. <br />and with the identifYing point number shown on the plat and cited herein. <br /> <br />Bearings are based on the centerline bearing of State Highway 21 as shown on <br />the right of way map of the Texas Highway Department dated March 1937, as the <br />centerline was found marked on the ground between stations 129+53 and 158+10. <br /> <br />The point cited herein as the ¡.Jest Reference Mark is a 3/8" diameter drill <br />hole near the west end of the concrete parking ramp, and 9.5 feet north of <br />the south edge of the ramp. The point cited herein as the East Reference <br />nark is a 3/8" diameter drill hole in the concrete parking ramp opposite the <br />east legs of the old control tower, and 9.5 feet from the south edge of the <br />ramp. From the West Reference Mark, the East Reference Mark bears South 89°- <br />58'-34"East a distance of 1505.44 feet. <br /> <br />Beginning at the southeast corner of the 2400 square foot parcel, from which <br />an aluminum capped iron witness monument (ooint 134) bears South 22°_26.9' <br />East a distance of 2.00 feet; from this point of beginnin9 the intersection <br />of the centerlines of runways 4 and 12 bears North 37°-37.l'East a distance <br />of 3433.93 feet, the West Reference Mark bears South 53°-34.6'East a distance <br />of 213.56 feet, and the East Reference Mark bears South 85°-39.3'East a dis- <br />tance of 1682.12 feet; <br /> <br />thence, from the point of beginning, South 67°-33.1 'West a distance of 60.00 <br />feet to the southwest corner of the 2400 square foot parcel, from which an <br />aluminum capped iron witness monument (point 135) bears South 22°-26.9'East <br />a distance of 2.00 feet; <br /> <br />thence North 22°-26.9'West a distance of 40.00 feet to the northwest corner <br />of the 2400 square foot parcel, from which an aluminum capped iron witness <br />monument (paint 136) bears North 22°-26.9'West a distance of 2.00 feet; <br /> <br />thence North 67°-33.1'East a distance of 60..00 feet to the northeast corner <br />of the 2400 square foot parcel, from which an aluminum capped iron witness <br />monument (paint 137) bears North 22°-26.9'West a distance of 2.00 feet; <br /> <br />thence Sou 22°-26.9'East a distance of 40.00 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />*********** <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> <br />1, CHARLES R.
