Jenkins, P.E. <br /> 2017 Fair Oaks Drive <br /> Austin, Texas 78745 <br /> Dear Mr. Jenkins: <br /> This letter will represent a letter of understanding between you <br /> and the City of San Marcos to provide engineering services for the <br /> City with the following conditions: <br /> 1. For a period of not less than two (2) weeks and no longer <br /> than eight (8) weeks, you will provide professional <br /> engineering services which will include, but are not limited <br /> to, review of site development permits, review of shop <br /> drawings of City projects completed by the City Engineering <br /> Department, consultations with City staff and applicants of <br /> City permits, and other duties as may be deemed appropriate <br /> by the City Manager. The work to be accomplished will be <br /> completed in a timely manner, provided however, you will <br /> also be at the City office for a minimum of eight (8) hours <br /> per week at time agreed upon by the parties. <br /> 2. Compensation for your services will be at a rate of $20 per <br /> hour for consultation and $20 per hour up to a maximum of <br /> $100 per acre or any portion thereof for review of site <br /> development permits. <br /> 3. This agreement may be terminated by either party with a seven <br /> (7) day written notice. <br /> 4. During the period of this agreement, you will not serve as <br /> an employee of the City but as a contractor providing <br /> services to the City. However, you will be given authority <br /> to approve permits and plans as the City's engineer. <br /> 5. Scheduling of hours can be altered if there is agreement between <br /> you and the City Manager. <br />
