<br /> EXTENSION POLICIES <br /> FOR WATER AND SEWERAGE MAINS <br /> I. NEW SUBDIVISIONS (In and Outside City) <br /> A. Facilities Within Subdivision. The subdivider shall, at <br /> ïïTs/her/its own cos~dedicate such right-of-way and construct <br /> such storm sewers, drainage ditches, sanitary sewers, <br /> water mains, and water lines of such a size as to adequately <br /> serve the area being subdivided; however, if the City <br /> should require the dedication of additional right-of-way <br /> or the construction of storm sewers, drainage ditches, <br /> sanitary sewers, or water mains of a size greater than <br /> set out above, then, the City shall within one year after <br /> date of approval of the final construction plans, provided <br /> construction has been completed within such one year <br /> period and in accordance with approved construction plans, <br /> reimburse the subdivider for any increased cost of such <br /> facilities. <br /> B. Extension of City Facilities. Where it is necessary In <br /> order to properly serve the subdivision, that extension of <br /> existing City utilities be made or that drainage facilities <br /> be constructed outside the subdivision, which extension or <br /> such facilities are here referred to as "off-site improve- <br /> ments, " the subdivider shall install such off-site improve- <br /> ments of such a size as to adequately serve the area being <br /> subdivided at his/her/its own expense; however, if the City <br /> should require the construction of off-site improvements of <br /> a size greater than set out above, then the City shalL within <br /> one year after date of approval of the final construction <br /> plans, reimburse the subdivider for any increased cost of <br /> such facilities. <br /> II. EXTENSIONS WHEN NO REPLATTING OF PROPERTY IS NECESSARY <br /> A. The City will pay for the first one hundred feet (100') <br /> of any utility extension provided that: <br /> 1) the extension is made to serve at least one <br /> dwelling and construction is begun on that <br /> dwelling within ninety (90) days of the <br /> completion of the extension. <br /> 2) the extension is of a size which is in confor- <br /> mance with the City of San Marcos Master Plan <br /> for utility development. <br /> 3) for extensions of more than one hundred feet <br /> (100'), the developer pays the total cost <br /> for line extension beyond the first one hundred <br /> feet (100') for lines of up to eight inches (8"). <br /> For lines of a size of more than eight inches <br /> ( 8 " ), beyond the first one hundred feet (1001) <br /> the City will pay the cost difference between <br /> the size of the line required and an eight inch <br /> (8") line. <br />
