<br /> 25 <br /> ORDINANCE 1984-62 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN I~RCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 13 1/2, <br /> SECTION 13 1/2-2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> OF SAID CITY TO ADOPT THE 1976 EDITION OF THE <br /> UNIFOL{('¡¡¡JECHANIcALCODE AND TO DELETE ALL <br /> ~EFERENCES TO THE STANDARD HEATING AND AIR <br /> ÇONDITIONING CODE; REPEALING SECTION 131/2-3 <br /> OF SAID CHAPTER OF SAID CODE AND DECLARING <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />I'1ARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That Chapter 13 1/2, Section 13 1/2-2 of <br />the Code of Ordinances, City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> Sec. 13 1/2-2. <br /> The rules and regulations of the Uniform <br /> Mechanical Code, being particularly the 1976 <br /> edition, published by the International Associa- <br /> tion of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, 5032 <br /> Alhanbra Avenue, Los Angeles, California 90032, and <br /> by the International Conference of Building Officials, <br /> 5360 South Workman Mill Road, Whittier, California <br /> 90601, now and as hereafter amended, a copy of <br /> which said code has been and is now filed in the <br /> office of the city secretary of the City of San <br /> Marcos, the same being hereby adopted and incorporated <br /> as fully as if set out in full length herein, and <br /> from and after May 25, 1984, the effective date of <br /> this section, the provisions thereof shall be <br /> controlling and shall be the rules and regulations <br /> observed in all work, construction, installation, <br /> operation, and maintenance of heating and air <br /> conditioning equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, <br /> except as otherwise specifically provided in this <br /> chapter, within the corporate limits of the City <br /> of San Marcos, Texas and its extraterritorial <br /> jurisdiction, subject to the laws of the State of <br /> Texas. <br /> SECTIƒ\) 2.
