<br /> 26 <br /> ORDINANCE 1984-63 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING CHAPTER 20, <br /> ARTICLE II, SECTION 20-1 OF THE CODE OF ORDI- <br /> NANCES OF SAID CITY, TO ADOPT THE 1982 EDITION OF THE <br /> STANDARD PLUMBING CODE AND TO rlAKE SUCH PRO- <br /> -- <br /> VISIONS CONTROLLING ,¡nTH RESPECT TO í11\'.TER OR <br /> SEWERAGE SYSTEH CONNECTIONS; REPEALING SECTION <br /> 20-2 OF SAID ARTICLE OF SAID CHAPTER OF SAID <br /> CODE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That Chapter 20, Article II, Section 20-1 <br />of the Code of Ordinances, City of San Marcos, Texas is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 20-1. <br />There is hereby adopted by the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas for the purpose of establishing rules and reg- <br />ulations for the installation, including alteratiòns~ <br />repairs and replacement, of plumbing piping, fittings, <br />fixtures, equipment and appurtenances which may be <br />connected to the water or sewerage system in said city, <br />that certain plumbing code known as the ~ta~dard <br />~!umbing Cod~, being particularly the 1982 edition, <br />published in 1982 by the Southern Building Code Congress <br />International, Inc., 900 Montclair Road, Birmingham, <br />Alabama 35213-1206, now and as hereafter amended~save <br />and except such portions as are hereinafter modified or <br />amended, a copy of which said Code has been <br />and is now filed in the office of the city secretary <br />of the City of San Marcos, and the same is hereby <br />adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out full <br />length herein, and from and after May 25, 1984, the <br />effective date of this section, the provisions thereof <br />shall be controlling in the aforementioned specifications, <br />materials and methods within the corporate limits of <br />the City of San Marcos, Texas and its extraterritorial <br />jurisdiction, subject to the laws of the State of Texas. <br /> SECTION 2.
