<br /> THENCE leaving Hughson Heights Addition No. 2 and
<br /> continuing with the common line of the Hughson
<br /> remainder tract, the Hughson Height.s, Inc. tract
<br /> and the City Limits line of San Marcos, the
<br /> following two courses:
<br /> 1. N53°08' OO"E 200.00 feet to a point, and
<br /> 2. N20o33'00"E 170.88 feet to a point
<br /> for an interior corner of Hughson Heights Addition

<br /> THENCE with the common line of Hughson Heights
<br /> Addition No.2, the Hughson Heights, Inc. tract
<br /> and the Hughson remainder tract, the following two
<br /> courses:
<br /> 1. S45°00'00"E 153.56 feet to a point, and
<br /> 2. S77°16'32"E 317.80 feet to the PLACE OF
<br /> BEGINNING.
<br /> WHEREAS, an on-site public hearing has not been requested
<br /> in writing by more than 20 adults residing in said area; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, notice of said public hearing was published in
<br /> the San Marcos Daily Record, a newspaper having general
<br /> circulation in said City and in the territory proposed for
<br /> annexation, on Apr il 8, 1984 ,said date being not more than
<br /> twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the
<br /> hearing for ~1ich notice was given7 and,
<br /> WHEREAS, prior to the publication of notice of said
<br /> hearing, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br /> directed preparation of a service plan that provides for the
<br /> extension of municipal services to said area proposed for
<br /> annexation7 and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said proposed service plan was made available for
<br /> inspection and explained to the inhabitants of the area to be
<br /> annexed at said public hearing; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said 25.07 acres, more or less are located within
<br /> the extraterri-torial jurisdiction of the City of San Marcos,
<br /> Texas, and not within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of any
<br /> other citY7 and,
<br /> \vHEREAS, said 25.07 acres, more or less are con'tiguous and
<br /> adjacent to the current boundaries of the City of San Marcos,
<br /> Texas7 now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS; TEXAS:
<br /> SEC'rION 1. That the following described property, bei~'1g
<br /> 25.07 acres, more or less, adjoining the existing city limits
<br /> of the City of San Marcos, Texas, out of the Robert Clever
<br /> Survey, A-92, and the Thomas H. Forsith Survey, A-173, in Hays
<br /> County, Texas, same being a portion of that tract of land
<br /> described in a deed from Orin A. Harryman, et ux, to C.C.
<br /> Hughson dated November 3, 1950 and recorded in Volume 148, page
<br /> 139 of the Hays County Deed Records and being more particularly
<br /> described by metes and bounds as follows:
