CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS SEWER RATE -- SCHEDULE SC-1 (Commercial and Industrial Customers) Applicable: To all consumers using City Sewerage services for a commercial and/ or industrial business establishment, governmental establishment or an educational institution. Service will be furnished under this rate schedule subject to the established rules and regulations of the City covering this type of service. Rate: $4.75 for the first 2,000 gallons of water usage or less. $0.82 per thousand gallons for all additional gallons of water usage. The monthly bill for service furnished under this rate schedule to a commercial and/or industrial business establishment, governmental establishment, or educational institution providing water service to its premises shall be computed by applying the commercial and industrial sewage rate (SC-1) to the total number of gallons of water usage for the month. Water usage for said institution or es ta blishmen t furnishing water to its premises shall be determined from the figures provided to the Division of Water Hygiene of the Texas Department of Health in the Monthly Report of Waterworks Operation. Minimum Bill: $4.75 per month. Delayed Payment: All bills for sewer service shall be paid on or before the tenth (lOth) day of the month in which the bill is rendered. A delinquent service charge equal to 10% of the bill amount shall be added upon failure or refusal of the customer to pay any bill on or before the tenth (lOth) day of the month in which the bill is rendered. Reconnection Policy: The failure to pay all bills for sewer service furnished to any consumer within the time stipulated for such payment shall be deemed notice for the discontinuance of sewer service, and water shall be cut off and shall not be cut on again until all bills, including delinquent service charges, are paid in full, together with a reconnec- tion fee of $10.00 per meter for regular hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) reconnection, or $15.00 per meter for after-hours (5 p.m. - 8 a.m.) reconnection, plus any applicable deposit fee. The water service shall be discontinued as to all uses thereof for those consumers who fail to pay for the same as herein provided within thirty (30) days after the date of billing. No service shall be discontinued prior to notice to said consumer stating the consumer's right to dispute any portion of the bill.
