Since the plant's capacity is <br /> yet to be determi ned and si nee the engi neeri ng cost for a package pl ant <br /> will possibly be less than the engineering costs for a conventional plant <br /> of the same capacity, we are proposing to perform this work on a cost times <br /> multiplier basis with the total fee not-to-exceed the amount that woul d <br /> have been determined using the percent of construction cost method of <br /> payment. Using this concept, if the total construction cost were $500,000 <br /> the basic charge from Curve A would be 8.5% and the maximum total fee would <br /> be: <br /> .085 x $500,000 = $42,500 <br /> The maximum design fee would then be 85% of the total or $36,125, and the <br /> maximum general representation fee would be 15% of the total or $6,375.
