(Ord. of 5-7-13. <br /> § 3) <br /> Sec. 10-24. Misconduct of witnesses summoned by fire mar- <br /> shal. <br /> Any 'witness who refuses to be sworn, or who refuses to <br /> appear and testify, or who disobeys any lawful order of the <br /> fire marshal, or who [:lib or refuses to produce any book, <br /> paper or document touching any matter under examination, <br /> or \vho is guilty of any contemptuous conduct during any of <br /> the proceedings of thr: fire marshal' . the matter of such <br /> investigation or inquiry, after being summoned to give testi- <br /> mony in relation to any matter under investigation as afore- <br /> said, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and it shBll <br /> be the duty of the firE' marshal to cause a11 such offenders <br /> to be prosecuted. Inspection of premises; ordering remova1 or re- <br /> pair of dangerous conditions. <br /> The fire marshal, upon complaint of any person having an <br /> interest in any building or property adjacent, or without <br /> complaint, sha11 have the right, at all reasonable hours, for <br /> the purpose of examination, to enter into and upon all buUd- <br /> ings and premises withm the city, and it shall be his duty, <br /> quarterly or more oîten, to enter upon and make or cause to <br /> he entered upon and made, a thorough examination of all <br /> mercantile, manufacturîng and pub1ic buildings, together <br /> with the 11remÍses belonging thereto.
