Amendments. <br /> [The fire prevention code adopted in section 10-38 is hereby <br /> amended in the fol1owing respects:] <br /> Section 16.75. <br /> A subsection shall be added to section 16.75, Dispensing <br /> Systems, as fo11ows: 16.75c Dispensing Units (5). <br /> i. No tank vehicles shall be used for the retail sale of <br /> flammable or combustible liquids to motor vehicles, ex- <br /> cept that this provision shall not apply to the sale of <br /> such liquids to aircraft at an airport or to construction <br /> machinery at the construction site. (Ord. of 8-9-71, § 9) <br /> Sec. 10-,42. Establishment and .-"ties of bureau of fire pre- <br /> yen tion. <br /> (a) The fire prevention code shall be enforced by the bureau <br /> of fire prevention in the fire department of the City of San <br /> Marcos which is hereby established and which shaH be operated <br /> under the supervision of the chief of the fire department. <br /> (b) The fire marshal in charge of the bureau of fire pre- <br /> vention shaH be appointed by the city manager on the basis <br /> of examination to determine his qualifications. His appoint- <br /> ment shall continue during good behavior and satisfactory <br /> service, and he sha11 not be removed from office except for <br /> cause after public trial. <br /> (c) The chief of the fire department may detail such mem- <br /> bers of the fire department as inspectors as sha11 from time <br /> to time be necessary. The chief of the fire department sha11 <br /> recommend to the city manag;er the employment of technical <br /> inspectors, who, when such authorization is made, shall be <br /> se1ected through an examination to determine their fitness <br /> for the position, The examination shaJl be open to members <br /> and nonrnemlwrs of the fire department, and appointments <br /> made after examination shall be for an indefinite term with <br /> 1'emo\'"l only for cause. <br /> Cd) A report of the bureau of fire prevention shaJl be made <br /> annua!ìy and transmitted to the chief executive officer of the <br /> Supp, No.3 <br /> 389 <br />
