<br /> 25 <br /> ORDINANCE 1984-75 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING AND CONVEYING <br /> UPON THE CITY MANAGER GENERAL AUTHORITY TO <br /> CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY FOR EXPENDITURES <br /> WITHOUT FURTHER COUNCIL APPROVAL FOR ALL BUDGETED <br /> ITEMS NOT EXCEEDING THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS <br /> ($3,000.00); PROVIDING THAT ALL SUCH CONTRACTS <br /> AND AGREEMENTS ENTERED INTO BY SAID CITY MANAGER <br /> ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY ARE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL <br /> BY THE CITY ATTORNEY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8.17 of the Charter of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, the City Council of said City desires <br />to authbrize and convey general authority on the City Manager <br />to contract for expenditures on behalf of said City without <br />further Council approval for all budgeted items not exceeding <br />three thousand dollars ($3,000.00); now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the City Manager of said City be, and he <br />is hereby, authorized and shall henceforth have general authority <br />to contract on behalf of said City for expenditures without <br />further Council approval for all budgeted items not exceeding <br />three thousand dollars ($3,000.00). <br /> SECTION 2. That said contracts and agreements entered into <br />by said City Manager on behalf of said City shall be subject to <br />approval by the City Attorney. <br /> SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) <br />days from and after its passage and after its publication in a <br />newspaper of general circulation in the area. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading June 11, 1984. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading June 25, 1984. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTE~' 1984. <br /> Emmie Craddock <br /> Mayor <br />Attest: <br /> s K.
