<br /> M'1ftmtl[NT IW. 2 TO <br /> COtHRACT FOR ENGINEERHIG SERVICES <br /> The Contract for Engineering Services entered into on the 7th day of May, <br /> 1979, by the CITY OF SAN MAf~COS, TEXAS ilnd FREESE MJD NICHOLS, INC. shall <br /> be amended as set forth hereinunder. The said Contract js attached as <br /> Exhibit A. <br /> Section 2. Character and Extent of Engineering Services <br /> Add g. Additi.onal Services <br /> Alternative design concepts shall be developed for the main lift <br /> stiltion considering utilization of existing plans developed in 1979 <br /> with necessary modifications versus a complete new design based on <br /> current data and criteria. The alternative of incorporating the <br /> existing lift station into the design alternatives will also be <br /> explorer1. Cost estimates for construction and operation and <br /> recommendations will be included in the scope of work in developing the <br /> alternatives. <br /> Section 3. Compensation to Engineer <br /> b. Designs, Plans and Specifications <br /> Delete the following: <br /> The compensation for services in connection with furnishing Step II <br /> design, plans and specifications as presented in Paragraph 2.0 shall be <br /> determ i ned oy mutua 1 consent at the time an application is submitted by <br /> the Owner for Step II grant funds. <br /> Add the following: <br /> The Engineer shall bf' compensated a lump sum of $308,fJ64 (Three hundred <br /> eight thousé1nd six hundred sixty-four dollars) for services described <br /> in Section 2b. above, excluding the main lift station. <br /> Add d. Additional Serv ices <br /> - <br /> The compensation for the Additional Services outlined in Section 2.9. <br /> shall be as follows: <br /> The Engineer shall be compensated on the basis of the actual salary <br /> cost of all personnel required times a multiplier of 2.3 for offi.ee <br /> personnel. Salary cost is defin~d as the cost of salaries of <br /> engineers, draftsmen, stf'noqriìphers, surveymen, clerks, laborers, etc., <br /> for tilTlf' directly chargrahle to the project, plus social securi ty <br /> cont ri bu ti ons, unerl1p 1 oymrnt compensa ti on insurance, retirement <br /> benefits, medical and insurance benefits, sick leave, vacation and <br /> holiday pay applicable thereto.
