Water Table Map The water levels in wells around San Marcos will be measured to better define the flow paths of groundwater to the springs. The water level in ten wells will be monitored and compared to past measurements to determine the effect of the drought on local water table conditions. 4. Location Map of Sinkholes, Caves, and Other Recharge Fbints A detailed field investigation will be made to loca te the position of sinkholes, caves, open fractures, and minor and major stream pathways that may act as recharge points. 5. Thickness Map of Edwards Aquifer Cover Using drillers' well logs and geologic information, a map will be made showing the general thickness of rocks overlying the Edwards Aquifer. 6. Geology Map A map corrbining the existing geologic information will,be compiled and drawn at a scale to match the other proposed maps. 7. Map of First-order Basins for the Purgatory and Sink Creek Basins A map outlining the drainage area of first-order basins feeding into the Purgatory and Sink Creek basins will be made from topographic maps to show avenues of storm water runoff that sink in environmentally sensitive areas around San Marcos. 8. Perform dye traces to better define groundwater flow pa ths. 9. written discussion on the implica tions of spring and well water chemistry on groundwater occurrence and movement. The study area is shown on the map which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes. The duration of the study is agreed to not exceed 145 days from the date of execution by both parties; however, preliminary maps and a preliminary draft of the Report will be delivered to the Ci ty 's Director of Environment and Engineering one hundred fifteen (1l5) days into the contract period for review and cormœnt. Final maps will be delivered to said Director at the expiration of said l45-day period. The final Report, including any changes or amendments to the maps or preliminary Report as recomrœnded by the Ci ty, or by the Edwards Research and Data Center, shall be delivered to said Director within sixty (60) days after the expiration of the above referenced l45-day period.
