<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING
<br /> ORDINANCE 1983-45, ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 12,
<br /> 1983, WHICH SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE
<br /> OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH ADMINI-
<br /> STRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT
<br /> OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
<br /> OCTOBER 1, 1983, AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30,
<br /> 1984, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS
<br /> FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE; TO REVISE
<br /> SAID ESTIMATES AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID
<br /> FUNDS; ADOPTING SAID REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES
<br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, after publication of notice on August 5, 1983,
<br /> the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a
<br /> public hearing on August 15, 1983, on the budget proposed by
<br /> the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning
<br /> October 1, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, at said public hearing all interested persons
<br /> were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item
<br /> or the amount of any item therein contained; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, public hearings to consider proposed uses of
<br /> Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 15 funds were held on August
<br /> 1, 1983, and August 15, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after said public hearings, the City Council of
<br /> the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for said
<br /> City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1983, and
<br /> ending September 30, 1984, on September 12, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the
<br /> expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for
<br /> said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various fund s
<br /> and purposes of such estimate; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City
<br /> Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council
<br /> declares that a public necessity exists which requires
<br /> amendment of said budget; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS, TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1983-45, adopted September
<br /> 12, 1983, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense
<br /> of conducting each administrative unit of the municipal
<br /> government of said city for the fiscal year beginning October
<br /> 1, 1983, and ending on September 30, 1984, and appropriated
<br /> money for the various funds and purposes of such estimate,
<br /> be, and the same is hereby, amended as set forth in Exhibit A
<br /> which is attached hereto and is incorporated herein, in words
<br /> and figures as shown therein, for all intents and purposes.
<br /> SECTION 2. That the said revisions and
<br /> reappropriations which shall be the amended budget for the
<br /> City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1983-84
<br /> beginning October 1, 1983, and ending on September 30, 1984,
<br /> be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
<br /> SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect
<br /> ten days from and after its passage and after its publication
<br /> in a newspaper of general circulation in the area.
